So, one of my very best friends and I were talking last night and came to a conclusion. And in my opinion, it's a pretty neat one :) We were talking about sharing our faith and encouraging the people within our circles of influence, specifically different ways to relate to them. God uses the experiences that we have and our pasts to encourage others in their walk with Christ! I called our pasts our "laundry"; it can be clean or dirty, and sometimes a little bit of both. God calls us to use ALL of the testimony that He has given us! So whether your laundry is clean or dirty, let God use it to bring glory to Himself! And remember, God has washed all of our laundry white by the blood of His only son, Jesus! In this alone can we boast and place our confidence!
Isaiah 1:16-18
Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD, Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
